The vessel was built by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries and measures 349 meters (1,145 feet) long, 43 meters (141 feet) wide and can reach speeds of 24 knots.
The “CMA CGM Medea” is deployed on CMA CGM’s joint weekly Asia/Europe service with China Shipping, French Asia Line 2/AEX 7. The service calls Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantian, Chiwan, Malta, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Zeebrugge, Southampton, Malta, Khor Fakkan, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.
