F.S. Mackenzie creates Spanish subsidiary

F.S. Mackenzie creates Spanish subsidiary F.S. Mackenzie, a United Kingdom-based freight forwarder and non-vessel-operating common carrier, has established a wholly owned subsidiary in Spain, its first branch office in the country.
   F.S. Mackenzie’s Spanish subsidiary is headquartered in Valencia and headed by Albert Garcia Molina. Additionally, Jose 'ngel Torrente has been appointed sales manager.
   “We took the right decision when we launched services between Spain and the U.K. in 2003,” said Alfred Stienen, F.S. Mackenzie’s managing director. “With very competitive prices and fast transit times, we are now one of the main operators in this trade and have found the routes from Spain to London, the North West region — especially Liverpool and Manchester — and the Midlands, to be very popular.
   “Now, the opening of this new office, our 10th in Europe, is a further sign of our commitment to this market which is a major trading partner with all the countries in which we have a presence,” Stienen said.
