Norbert Dentressangle sales up 11% after nine months

France’s Norbert Dentressangle Group said its revenue after nine months was 1.31 billion euros ($1.87 billion), up 11.1 percent from 1.19 billion euros in the comparable period in 2006.
   Sales from its transport division after three quarters were up 11.1 percent to 832 million euros ($1.19 billion) while logistics revenue improved 8.9 percent to 479 million euros ($685 million).
   “With intensified growth in the third quarter, the transport division continued to benefit from its offer's strong appeal amongst clients and the increase in its vehicle fleet. The logistics division maintained its business growth levels, capitalizing on the integration of CCH in Spain and ND&L in Romania,” the company said in a statement.
   For the full year, Norbert Dentressangle confirmed its targets of organic business growth of 8 percent and an improvement in operating profit on 2006, excluding a one-off tax refund from motorway tolls.
   Also, the company said its takeover bid for British company Christian Salvesen Plc should be completed by mid-December.
