House proposes road funds for S.C. logistics hub    The U.S. House of Representatives passed a budget proposal Thursday that includes $4.6 million for highway improvements in Orangeburg County, S.C., where a Dubai-based company is looking to build $600 million industrial park, reports the Charleston Post and Courier.
   The newspaper said the money would fund improvements at Interstate 95 and U.S. Highway 301.
   Meanwhile, the Dubai developer, Jafza, sent requests to more than 50 firms to provide their qualifications for design, permitting and construction administration of the 1,322-acre county logistics/industrial park, according to information posted on the Web site of the Orangeburg County Development Commission.
   The project is Jafza International’s first in North America. Jafza is the global free zone operations arm of Economic Zones World, which plans to spend $600 million to build the logistics hub in South Carolina.
