United blends LAX small package service

   United Airlines’ cargo division at Los Angeles International Airport will consolidate its small package services with those of former Continental.
   The United Cargo SPD Center at LAX Terminal 7 will permanently close on June 17. Starting June 18, all SPD shipments should be tendered at the United Cargo counter in the United Cargo warehouse and recovered at the Continental Cargo counter in the United Cargo warehouse.
   The United Cargo counter is open 24 hours every day, while the Continental Cargo counter is open for tender and pick-up from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. daily, the airline said.
   The change does not impact QuickPak service at LAX. QuickPak customers can continue to tender and recover all QPK shipments at the Continental Cargo counter in the United Cargo warehouse.
