Mundra sees high-cube double-stack rail

Mundra sees high-cube double-stack rail    High-cube container double-stack rail service has begun into the Port of Mundra in western India, according to an Exim News Service report over the weekend.
   The line connects the fast-growing privately owned and operated port at Mundra with an inland container deport in Kisangarh, a city in the state of Rajasthan about halfway between Mundra and Delhi.
   The depot is owned and operated by the same group as the port, Adani Logistics, which is one of a dozen or so private rail operators in India. The Kisangarh depot opened in January.
   The service allows 180 TEUs be transported on one service. The corridor from Mundra is the only one in India to support double-stack operations.
