San Francisco receives Americas Cup winning craft    The Port of San Francisco's Pier 80 Omni Terminal on Tuesday received the vessel Star Isfjord, which carried the winning craft of the 2010 Americas Cup.
   The sailboat USA-17 arrived from Spain, where it won the Americas Cup trophy on Feb. 14 in Valencia. In addition to the trimaran, the Star Isfjord carried 35 ocean containers, the 223-foot wingsail mast, and five other service craft.

The Star Isfjord delivered the Americas Cup-winning USA-17 to San Francisco Tuesday.

   Pier 80, operated by Metro Ports, will serve as the logistical headquarters for Oracle Racing, the port authority said.
   In addition to the Oracle cargoes, the Star Isfjord transported steel coils and three other private yachts.
   The port and city of San Francisco will host the 34th Americas Cup races that are scheduled for 2013. Preliminary races will be held in 2012.
   Metro Ports has been involved with Americas Cup logistics for several years, providing stevedoring to the USA-17 at the ports of Anacortes, Wash., and San Diego. Metro Ports is the terminal operator and provides stevedoring services at the Port of San Francisco's Pier 80.
   Grieg Star Shipping, owner of the Star Isfjord, is engaged in breakbulk shipping trades serving North America, the Far East, Europe and South America. The company is headquartered in Bergen, Norway.
