SHIPLOGIX EXPANDS INTO CANADA

SHIPLOGIX EXPANDS INTO CANADA    ShipLogix, the Web-based multimodal transportation management system provider, has expended its system into Canada.
   In conjunction with its Canadian launch, the Hudson, Ohio-based company has named Allan Smith as vice president, Canadian business development.
   Smith has more than 17 years experience in the logistics field. He was vice president of marketing and sales for Unicity Integrated Logistics. Prior to that he served as vice president of business development for Interlink Freight Systems, vice president of marketing and sales for Mathews Conveyro and held sales and marketing management positions with GN Johnson Co. Ltd., and Brant Packaging and Manufacturing Ltd.
   ShipLogix's system provides a suite of transportation management tools via an application service provider, that enables shippers, carriers, third-party providers and business-to-business marketplaces to collaborate with trading partners online in real time.
