Maersk changes Far East/West Africa services

Maersk changes Far East/West Africa services Maersk Line will in the next few weeks switch port calls on its two Far East/West Africa services to include new calls at Abidjan in the Ivory Coast.
   The Far East West Africa 2 (FEW2) service will drop calls at Lome in Togo and Cotonou in Benin but add calls at Walvis Bay, Namibia, as well as the new Abidjan connection.
   The Maersk Inverness will start the FEW2’s new rotation of Port Kelang, Tanjung Pelepas, Walvis Bay, Abidjan, Apapa, Walvis Bay, Durban and back to Port Kelang, with a westbound departure from Tanjung Pelepas on Jan. 28.
   The FEW1 service will pick up the Lome and Cotonou calls dropped from the FEW2 but loses Walvis Bay. The revised rotation of this service will become Nansha, Hong Kong, Tanjung Pelepas, Lome, Tema, Cotonou, Apapa, Pointe Noire, and Nansha again, when Santa Alexandra leaves Nansha on Jan. 23.
   Maersk’s sister company Safmarine Container Lines carries cargo on both services.
