ProLogis signs Inland Empire DC deal with eyewear maker Oakley    Industrial property owner-developer ProLogis Monday announced preliminary approval of a lease to Southern California eyewear maker Oakley, Inc., for a 290,000-square-foot distribution center in the Inland Empire.
   The new facility will be located in the 2.4 million-square-foot Crossroads Business Park, a ProLogis-developed complex in the city of Ontario. The Oakley facility is set for a mid-2007 completion date.
   Oakley is seeking the new facility to maximize their distribution operations as they expand their worldwide distribution network.
   The Crossroads Business Park is located at the intersection of Interstates 10 and 15 in the western Inland Empire, near the Ontario International Airport. The park comprises eight buildings totaling 2.4 million square feet of space.
   The ProLogis site is still under development, with plans on the drawing board to build out more than 70 acres of land with another three distribution facilities totaling an additional 1.74 million square feet.
