Office Depot exec to chair NRF panel

   Dennis Cohen, senior director of direct import/own brand supply chain at Office Depot, and Larry Bergman, director of supply chain and operations for Boscov’s Department Stores LLC, were named chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of the National Retail Federation’s Strategic Supply Chain Council.  
   The SSCC provides guidance and technical expertise on supply chain management and security. It focuses on public policy issues and sharing best practices with members.
   Among the issues retail executives are closely following are pending changes to hours-of-service regulations for truck drivers, reauthorization of a surface transportation bill and customs reauthorization. 
   Cohen, previously vice chairman, takes over from Kohl’s Department Stores’ Ken Bonning.
