Hanjin, Emirates exchange China/India slots

Hanjin, Emirates exchange China/India slots    Hanjin Shipping and Emirates Shipping Line have cemented a slot exchange agreement on the China/India/Middle East trade, the South Korean container line said Wednesday.
   Beginning in July Hanjin will take 500 TEUs per sailing on Emirates' Hyper Galex service, with Emirates takes the same capacity on Hanjin's FMX service between Asia and the Middle East via Colombo.
   The Hyper Galex has a rotation of Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Da Chan Bay, Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Karachi, Singapore, Hong Kong and Qingdao. The service operates with six vessels averaging 3,243 TEUs, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data. CMA CGM and OOCL also take slots on the service.
   Hanjin's FMX has a rotation of Qingdao, Gwangyang, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Singapore, Colombo, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Bandar Abbas, Karachi, Port Kelang, Singapore and Qingdao. The service operates with six vessels (four from Hanjin and one each from STX Pan Ocean and Sinokor) with an average capacity of 4,866 TEUs. NYK Line and KMTC also take slots on the service.
