YM, OOCL add new China/India link    Yang Ming and OOCL said last week they are reshaping their partnership on the China/Indian Subcontinent trade.
   The two carriers operate a joint service, the CPX, but will add a second service, the CIX2, on March 21 and amend the rotation of the CPX.
   The revised rotation of the CPX, from March 18, will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Karachi, Mundra, Penang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung and Shanghai. Amendments include dropping calls at Nhava Sheva and Pipavav in India and at Port Klang in Malaysia.
   Those three ports will be served by the new CIX2, which will have a rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Shekou, Singapore, Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Colombo, Port Klang, Pasir Gudang, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The service will operate with five vessels with an average capacity of 2,700 TEUs. According to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, the CPX operates with five vessels with an average capacity of 4,121 TEUs (two from each carrier and one currently unallocated).
