Grikitis named Intermarine CEO

Grikitis named Intermarine CEO Intermarine's board of directors has selected Andre Grikitis to succeed the late Roger Kavanaugh as president and chief executive office. Kavanaugh died earlier this month after a lengthy battle with cancer.
   Grikitis had been acting as interim president since September. Prior to that he was managing director of Industrial Maritime Carriers Worldwide, Intermarine's Far East operating affiliate. He has been associated with the Intermarine family of companies since 1990 and has worked in the maritime industry more than 30 years.
   Grikitis will also act as chairman of the board for Intermarine and all of its affiliated companies.
   Intermarine is a worldwide provider of ocean transport as well as inland heavy-haul transportation services for breakbulk, specialized project and heavy-lift cargoes. Intermarine affiliates are involved in trades in South America and the Far East and operate both foreign and U.S.-flag vessels.
