Kuehne + Nagel buys Norwegian customs clearance firm

Kuehne + Nagel buys Norwegian customs clearance firm Swiss logistics firm Kuehne + Nagel has acquired Norwegian customs clearance specialists Spedit'ren A/S, for an undisclosed amount.
   Established in Oslo in 1983, Spedit'ren also provides warehousing, transport and logistics services. Its managing director, Kjell Sigolsen, will become head of a new customs clearance department in Kuehne + Nagel's Oslo office. In addition, eight employees will transfer to Kuehne + Nagel.
   'This agreement enhances the portfolio of added-value services that Kuehne + Nagel is able to offer in Norway and reinforces our position as a preferred partner of choice for integrated logistics solutions,' said Yngve Ruud, Kuehne + Nagel's managing director.
