BAX GLOBAL EXPANDS BAXSAVER SERVICE TO MEXICO

BAX GLOBAL EXPANDS BAXSAVER SERVICE TO MEXICO    BAX Global Inc., the Irvine, Calif.-based logistics and express service provider, has expanded its BAXSaver time-definite, door-to-door delivery service to Mexico.
   With the expansion, BAXSaver now provides service to major business regions throughout North America.
   BAXSaver is a distance-based, zone-priced service with no size or weight restrictions. The service will initially be available between the United States and Canada and the main business areas of Mexico City, Guadalajara, Saltillo, Chihuahua, San Luis Potosi and Monterrey, Mexico.
   BAX said the service, its fastest-growing product, provides shippers with a lower-cost alternative to expedited overnight and second-day service.
   'Our network can now offer total flexibility at various service levels for customers working with suppliers in Mexico,' said Joseph L. Carnes, president of BAX Global. 'Delivery options now include Guaranteed and Standard Overnight to time-definite BAXSaver.'
   The expanded service is based on similar time commitments established with BAXSaver throughout the United States, with additional days added for delivery to Mexico or Canada, depending on location and customs requirements.
   One of BAXSaver's first customers for the Mexico product, Pendleton Woolen Mills, a Portland-based apparel maker, said the service cut 48 hours from its previous transportation process.
