Minami heads Thome’s Asian business development

Minami heads ThomeÆs Asian business development    Thome Ship Management has appointed Norio Minami as head of business development for Asia.
   His responsibilities include liaison with Thome's list of Japanese ship owners, as well as building and maintaining relationships with the Japanese shipping and maritime markets in general, the company said.
   Minami will be based in Thome's Singapore headquarters. Prior to joining Thome, he was general manager of MOL Tankship based in Singapore and before that he worked in senior management positions with Navix Singapore before that group merged with MOL.
   Thome Group is one of the world's leading third-party ship management companies. In recent years the group has grown to provide a range of services that now include ship management, crew management, crew agency, newbuilding and technical consultancy, ship conversion project management, offshore vessel and structure management, ship lay-up maintenance and reactivation, ship inspections, voyage repairs and ship agency. It is now one of the world's leading independent managers with around 120 vessels, mainly tankers, under full technical management.
