Grand Alliance upgrading China/Los Angeles shuttle

Grand Alliance upgrading China/Los Angeles shuttle    Grand Alliance carriers Hapag-Lloyd, NYK and OOCL will next month change the order of calls in China on their joint weekly transpacific Central China Express Service (CCX) as well as phasing in larger ships.
   Effective from August, the port rotation of CCX will be Ningbo, Shanghai (Yangshan), Los Angeles, and back to Ningbo. The service will use four 5,500-TEU vessels instead of four 4,000-TEU vessels.
   The change will give the service a Shanghai to Los Angeles transit time of 10 days, on a par with the industry best between those two ports according to ComPairData (www.compairdata.com ), American Shipper’s affiliated global liner services database.
