Another change in Maersk management

Another change in Maersk management Vagn Lehd Moller, chief operating officer for Maersk Line is retiring after 44 years at the company.
   Moller, who was named to his current job in 2001 and was based at the company’s headquarters in Copenhagen, will be replaced by Morten Engelstoft, effective Sept. 1. Englestoft has been in charge of Maersk Line’s Southeast Asia region.
   Moller’s retirement comes on the heels of last month’s announcement that A.P. Moller-Maersk Chief Executive Jess Soderberg would retire Dec. 1, and would be replaced by an outsider, Carlsberg brewery chief Nils Smedegaard Andersen.
   In addition to Soderberg’s retirement, Tommy Thomsen, the head of APM Terminals and Knud Stubkjaer, one of two co-CEOs of Maersk Line, announced they would leave on July 1.
   With Stubkjaer’s leaving, Eivind Kolding is now sole CEO of Maersk Line.
