PrestaShop, Shipwire team on inventory management

   PrestaShop, an open-source e-commerce solution, has partnered with Shipwire, a company that helps online businesses expand into new markets through shipping and storage services, on a new inventory management service.
   Shipwire will provide its cloud-based logistics software and outsourced order fulfillment services to PrestaShop’s 300,000 users.
   The goal of the service, according to PrestaShop Chief Operating Officer Matt Serralta, is to remove the barriers of packing and shipping problems from online merchants. The free Shipwire module can be integrated to any PrestaShop store to provide real-time order fulfillment, inventory analysis and live tracking.
   PrestaShop merchants that use Shipwire’s services can send inventory to one of Shipwire’s warehouses in the United States, Canada, Europe, or Asia. They can also connect their e-commerce engines with Shipwire’s order entry system allowing Shipwire to automatically pick, pack, and ship products from its warehouses as soon as an order is placed and paid for online.
   PrestaShop was founded in Paris and recently opened a second office in Miami. It’s platform currently in its 13th iteration and supports more than 40 languages.
