Freightgate offers NVOs system to manage NSAs    Freightgate, a Huntington Beach, Calif.-based Internet applications developer, has enhanced its contract rate management and U.S. Federal Maritime Commission compliance system to give non-vessel-operating common carriers an automated way to manage their NVOCC service arrangements (NSAs) with shippers.
   “When rumors first started circulating last summer that the FMC was looking into NSAs, we immediately began analyzing the impact on our NVOCC partners and their customers,” said Freightgate president Martin Hubert. “We quickly realized the need to develop a solution that ensured they would be first to market with automated NSA capability when the final ruling came down from the FMC.”
