Authorities recover fireworks stolen from freight train

Commercial grade fireworks were pilfered from a CSX train on Thursday, but federal authorities say agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms have found the material.    Agents for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) have recovered more than 30 cases of commercial grade fireworks that were reported stolen from a CSX freight train last week, according reports from USA Today and other media outlets.
   The CSX train was traveling from Chicago through Ohio en route to Detroit. Authorities suspect the explosives may have been taken during the train’s stopover in Ohio and were discovered after someone called in with a tip, the ATF said.
   Authorities expressed concern that the material could have posed a danger for an accident or a terrorist attack.
   The investigation is ongoing, the ATF said.
