AgTC’s Friedmann, carrier execs at conference    Containerisation International's annual Global Liner Shipping conference April 4-6 in London will discuss the issue of U.S. antitrust deregulation in the liner industry, among other key topics.
   The conference will also see discussion of key supply/demand trends and they affect freight rate levels, the need for effective ocean freight agreement contracting, the viability of niche market players, the possibility of carbon taxation on the industry, the growing importance of emerging markets like Indian and Africa, and increasing supply chain security regulations.
   Executives from Safmarine, NYK Line, CMA CGM, 'K' Line and The Containership Co. are scheduled to speak, as well as Peter Friedmann, executive director of the Agriculture Transportation Coalition, and Jean-Louis Cambon, head of the ocean management committee for tire manufacturer Michelin.
