Port Canaveral names Goodson chairman

Port Canaveral names Goodson chairman Tom Goodson has been named elected chairman of the Canaveral Port Authority Board at the port commission’s first meeting of the year.
   Malcolm McLouth, a former executive director, rejoined the commission. He had previously served on the board for nearly three decades.
   “These are challenging times for any business, yet cruising remains strong at Canaveral and we look forward to the arrival of the first two of four new 4,000-plus passenger cruise ships that will be home-ported here this year,” Goodson said. “And we will continue to build upon a strong first quarter in cargo as we await the opening of the Seaport Canaveral tank farm later this year. The board and staff take seriously the significantly growing economic dependence of our community upon Port Canaveral and we are committed to continuing Canaveral’s growth as a world-class seaport.”
