“Tampa is a very strong ocean market with many entrepreneurial importers who control shipments destined for distribution centers all around the country,” said Anna Parker, a former Exel/DHL manager who was tapped by the Downers Grove, Ill.-based firm to run its new Tampa operation.
Working with Parker in Tampa is Rebecca Drake, who formerly worked in California as national coordinator for CaroTrans International.
CGL was recently acquired by Express-1 Expedited Solutions, whose subsidiaries also include Express-1, Buchanan, Mich.; Express-1 Dedicated, Evansville, Ind.; and Bounce Logistics, South Bend, Ind.
