Cathay Pacific Airways launches new mobile cargo app, Parcel Audit Pros starts web app to help with unclaimed refunds, and eyefortransport publishes its latest report on supply chain IT investments.    Cathay Pacific Airways said this week it has launched a new cargo mobile application that lets cargo agents, forwarders and direct shippers track shipments as well as access review their shipments’ e-booking status.
   Other functions include tracking of multiple air waybills, a place to save air waybills, and the ability to check shipment load readiness.
   The cargo’ app is available for download from both the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores.

   Parcel Audit Pros, an online provider of small parcel auditing for UPS and FedEx late deliveries, has started a new web application designed to help companies quickly and easily recover unclaimed money-back guarantee refunds.
   The new site includes a parcel audit dashboard that allows customers to see all shipment data in a central location.
   “There may be thousands of dollars in unclaimed refunds waiting for your company,” said Adam Call, chief executive officer at Parcel Audit Pros. “UPS and FedEx money-back guarantees are by ‘request only’. In other words, if you do not know you are entitled to refunds, or do not have a way to track and process refunds from late deliveries, you don’t get your money back.”
   Call said that customers save an average of 2 to 8 percent on annual parcel shipping costs.
   
   A new report from the freight transportation consultancy eyefortransport has found that 77 percent of supply chain professionals plan to increase their IT investments this year.
   The report, 2015 Logistics IT Executive Report, due to be released in a few weeks, also found that 44 percent of respondents are investing in new technology to fulfill customer requirements, 29 percent are looking to invest in machine-to-machine and internet of things technology, and 65 percent are looking to invest in a transportation management system (up from 35 percent last year).
