East Coast Warehouse adds capacity at Port of NY/NJ

The 200,000-square-foot expansion, which includes the addition of temperature-controlled and ambient areas, comes in response to increases in customer demand and inventory moving through the 4PL’s Port of New York/New Jersey headquarters.    Elizabeth, N.J.-based East Coast Warehouse & Distribution, a fourth-party logistics provider (4PL) specializing in temperature-controlled logistics for the food and beverage industry, is adding 200,000 square feet of warehousing space to its facility near the Port of New York and New Jersey, the company confirmed Dec. 18.
   East Coast Warehouse said that the expansion, which includes the addition of temperature-controlled and ambient areas, comes in response to an increase both in customer demand and in the amount of inventory moving through both its Port of New York/New Jersey headquarters, as well as at its Jersey City facility.
   “Food and beverage manufacturers continue to rely heavily on their logistics providers to help improve sales by ensuring supply chains are operating efficiently and seamlessly. This translates into an increase in volume,” East Coast Warehouse CEO Jamie Overley said. “The Jersey City expansion will enable East Coast Warehouse to keep pace with the steady rise in consumer demand.”
   East Coast Warehouse, which has been a provider of temperature-controlled logistics services for over 60 years, opened a new location in Philadelphia at the end of 2016 and says that it’s planning for additional expansion for 2018 and beyond.
