Expeditors International of Washington Inc. has realigned its North and
Latin America regions and has named three executives to key posts.
Gene Alger has been promoted to senior vice president — North America,
focusing on the business activities of the western United States and Mexico. Alger has
been with Expeditors for 18 years, most recently serving as regional vice president of the
southwestern region.
Phil Coughlin has been named senior vice president — North America,
responsible for the eastern United States and Canada. A 14-year veteran of the company, he
was vice president for the northeastern region.
Idevaldo Silva has been named vice president and managing director of Latin
America, focusing on the Caribbean and Central and South America.
