Blue Point acquires V&S Transportation to launch logistics investment    Blue Point Capital Partners said Friday it has acquired V&S Transportation Inc., a Los Angeles-based provider of transportation and logistics services.
   V&S offers services on international and domestic goods, including warehousing/distribution, transloading, dedicated fleet services, logistics/brokerage, intrastate pickup and delivery, transcontinental consolidations and Hawaiian freight forwarding.
   Blue Point said in a statement it selected V&S as a platform to launch into the logistics and transportation sector because of its reputation, customer base and focus in the consumer electronics market. Blue Point and V&S management provided the equity for the transaction while Union Bank of California provided the senior debt.
