cargo-partner to add 10 China subsidiaries Austrian logistics firm cargo-partner said today that it will open 10 additional subsidiaries in China by late 2008 in a bid 'to become the internationally leading provider of air and sea freight services between continental Europe and China.'
   cargo-partner’s holding company in Greater China currently has 100    employees working in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guanghzou, Kunshan and Taipeh. Import and export activities from and to Greater China account for a third of cargo-partner's revenue, which is estimated to have reached about 245 million euros ($330.1 million) in 2006.
   'As a first step, we will focus on the metropolitan areas of Hong Kong (including offices both in Shenzhen and Guangzhou) and Shanghai (with another office in Kunshan). And we will also have an office at all major ports. Next year, we will be expanding our activities to Northern China,' said Michael Zankel, director of Far East services at cargo-partner.
