CaroTrans launches 11 new China-U.S. LCL import services

The non-vessel operating common carrier and ocean freight consolidator commenced 11 direct less-than-container-load import services between China and the United States in late Aug. 2015.    CaroTrans, a global non-vessel operating common carrier and ocean freight consolidator, launched 11 direct less-than-container-load (LCL) import services between China and the United States in late Aug. 2015, the company said in a statement.
   The new services offered are from Ningbo to Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Miami, Dallas and Houston; and from Xiamen to Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.
   CaroTrans said its strengthening its existing China network, which consists of its own team in Shanghai and a new alliance with Portever Shipping Ltd., a Ningbo-based NVO.
   “Consistent and frequent LCL services provide the supply chain options and flexibility shippers need today,” CaroTrans CEO Greg Howard said in a statement. “With this new cooperation with PortEver, we’re broadening our China-U.S. scope of import services to address the needs of our logistics service provider customers that are looking for alternative service solutions.”
   CaroTrans provides over 60 direct China-U.S. LCL import and export services.
