NIKE, ADOBE SYSTEMS PICK SAP SOLUTIONS

NIKE, ADOBE SYSTEMS PICK SAP SOLUTIONS    Nike, a provider of footwear and sportswear, and Adobe Systems, a maker of software applications, have contracted with SAP, the German software provider, for upgraded solutions.
   Nike has integrated SAP’s Apparel and Footwear Solution with its operations in North America, and will expand the system to Europe later in 2002.'The principle vendor for Nike is i2 Technologies.
   Adobe Systems will integrate its Acrobat and Adobe PDF technology with MySAP, a SAP supply chain management package.
   SAP has announced a new software product called xApps, for “cross applications,” to be built by SAP and the consulting firm Accenture. The xApps will use existing software to connect multiple applications from different suppliers.
