Crowley names new agent for St. Thomas

Crowley names new agent for St. Thomas Jacksonville-based Crowley Maritime Corp. said Nesbitt Trucking now serves as its local agent in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, effective today.
   Nesbitt provides a single point of access for freight forwarding, customs brokerage, air and ocean shipments, warehousing, and domestic trucking within St. Thomas, Crowley noted. Nesbitt has been acting as a non-vessel-operating common carrier in the U.S./U.S. Virgin Islands trade for more than 10 years.
   Initially, Nesbitt has assigned two experienced employees to work with Crowley customers.
   “We are confident that our partnership with Nesbitt Trucking will help us to further our service to customers wishing to ship less-than-container loads to and from St. Thomas,” said Carlos Rice, general manager of Crowley’s NVO operations. “Their market experience bodes well for our future success together.'
