LIU APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF COSCO (HONG KONG)

LIU APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF COSCO (HONG KONG)    Liu Guoyuan has been appointed executive vice chairman and president of COSCO (Hong Kong) Group Ltd., the largest overseas subsidiary of the China Ocean Shipping Co. group.
   Liu succeeds Dong Jiufeng.
   COSCO (Hong Kong) owns several hundred subsidiaries and joint ventures in Asia, including the Hong Kong-based port and container leasing company COSCO Pacific Ltd.
   Wei Jiafu, the COSCO group’s president, continues to be the chairman of the board of directors of COSCO (Hong Kong).
   The boards of directors of COSCO Pacific Ltd. and COSCO International Holdings Ltd. have also appointed Liu as the vice chairman and executive director of these companies, replacing Dong Jiufeng.
   Zhou Liancheng has been appointed executive director of COSCO Pacific.
