AirBridgeCargo volumes jump 30% in October

The all-cargo airline posted a throughput of 57,608 metric tons for the month, bringing the year-to-date total to 498,177 metric tons and breaking its full year freight volume record for the 13th consecutive year.    AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) in October grew its volumes 30 percent to 57,608 metric tons compared with the same 2015 period, the company said in a statement.
   Year-to-date throughput at the all-cargo airline stands at 498,177 metric tons through October, a 29 percent increase from the first 10 months of 2016. The year-to-date figures also represent an improvement from the total 483,000 metric tons flown in 2015.
   ABC noted it has now increased volumes in each of the last 13 years.
   So far in 2016, the airline has added a new Houston-Abu Dhabi operation, followed by the introduction of all-cargo services connecting ABC’s global hub in Moscow with Chongqing in China, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Seattle in the U.S., London Heathrow in the United Kingdom and, most recently, Oslo, Norway.
   ABC in September took delivery of its ninth new Boeing 747-8 freighter, bringing its total fleet to 16 747Fs.
