Smith appointed chairman of British Airways Regional Cargo

Smith appointed chairman of British Airways Regional Cargo Peter Smith, formerly chief executive officer of Menzies Aviation, has been appointed chairman of British Airways Regional Cargo (BARC).
   Smith joined the board of BARC as a non-executive director last September. He has also been commercial director of British Caledonian Airways and deputy marketing director at British Airways.
   Smith takes over the chairmanship of BARC from Bryan Bullman.
   BARC was established in 2003 by Dunwoody Airline Services and British Airways World Cargo, offering a range of U.K. agency, consolidation and handling services to British Airways and its customers. It also provides third party cargo services throughout the U.K. and Ireland for airlines and other handlers.
