The Med Pac Conference, a rate-making group in the trade
from the Mediterranean to the Pacific Coast of the U.S. and Canada, has announced the
implementation of a bunker charge, effective Nov. 15.
The charge will be $30 (U.S.) per TEU for containerized shipments or 2
percent of the freight for breakbulk, uncontainerizable cargo.
