Alaskan forwarder hires GM    Superior Moving Services, an Alaskan household goods forwarder, said Tuesday it has hired Gary Schmidt as general manager to oversee operations for the rapidly growing company.
   Schmidt has 20 years of experience in the Alaskan moving industry, the company said in a release. Previously, he worked as a driver for American Fast Freight and Denali Transportations.
   Formed in 2005, Superior Moving Services provides worldwide household goods forwarding and storage services to military members, government employees, corporations and COD customers. Servicing military installations such as Fort Waynewright, Fort Greely, Eielson AFB and Elmendorf AFB, the company is equipped to package and transport household goods in harsh environments where temperatures can regularly are below zero.
