Deringer to use Kewill Customs platform

   The customs brokers A.N. Deringer last week entered into an agreement with the logistics software developer Kewill to transition to the Kewill Customs platform.  
   Deringer has partnered with Kewill for the past eight years, and will now use Kewill’s most up-to-date solution.
   “The platform’s modern design is easy to use, resulting in less time training our logistics professionals to use the system, so that they can dedicate more of their time reviewing files and ensuring compliance for our valued customers,” said Deringer Senior Vice President Sandy Mayotte.
   The platform is complemented by a document imaging solution, Kewill said, which accommodates transmission of documents to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as the agency begins to accept more information through its Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) imaging.
   “This will allow both CBP and participating government agencies increased visibility and may assist them in their decision making process so that they can release shipments more expeditiously, or satisfy their concerns with a document review in lieu of a costly physical exam,” Kewill said in a statement. – Eric Johnson
