Lufthansa Cargo’s volume up 3.9% in September

Lufthansa Cargo’s volume up 3.9% in September    Lufthansa Cargo carried 153,000 tons of freight and mail in September, 3.9 percent rise over the same month in 2005.
   The German airline’s cargo load factor improved 4.5 percentage points to 68.4 percent as available capacity was reduced by 0.3 percent.
   “The cargo load factor therefore showed an increase in all traffic regions, with especially marked growth of 6.1 percentage points each in the Americas and the Middle East/Africa,” Lufthansa Cargo said.
   For the year to date, Lufthansa Cargo has moved 1.3 million tons of freight and mail, up 1.7 percent over the same nine-month period last year. Cargo load factor for the year has increased by 2.9 percentage points to 66.9 percent.
