SAIC provides logistics support to missile program

   Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) will provide logistics support to the U.S. Air Force under a new 31-month, $36 million contract under the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center – Space Logistics Directorate.
   The logistics deal will cover consolidated logistics management support for the Air Force Space Command in Colorado Springs, Colo.
   SAIC will also be responsible for engineering and technical analysis, project planning, and budgeting analysis; and support on sustainment and procurement issues. The logistics support analysis will cover both goods and technical assistance for several space weapon system programs including the Space Based Infrared System and the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program.
   SAIC, based in McLean, Va., is among the largest federal government contractors.
