Caribbean-Central America conference underway in Miami

Caribbean-Central America conference underway in Miami    Caribbean-Central American Action (CCAA), a private, independent organization that promotes economic development throughout the Caribbean Basin, is holding its annual conference through Wednesday at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami.
   The conference, which started with committee meetings on Monday and will conclude with educational sessions on Wednesday, is focusing on energy and its impact on the region's economic competitiveness. The conference is also looking at ways the smaller economies of the Caribbean Basin can compete in the global economy, and the region's changing relationship with Europe and Asia.
