FCBF meeting will focus on cargo crimes

FCBF meeting will focus on cargo crimes The Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association will get an update on the increasing number of cargo-related crimes when the group holds its monthly general membership meeting May 23 in Miami.
   Featured speakers are Greg Kritz, Miami-based vice president-eastern division of trade insurer Roanoke Trade, and T.M. Roland, Jr., assistant port director, trade & tactical operations for Customs and Border Protection at Port Everglades. They will address the theme 'Cargo Crime on the Rise.' Rod Blanchard, CBP assistant director of field operations for South Florida, and Dan Alonso, acting border security coordinator in Miami, will also attend the session.
   The luncheon meeting will be at the Hilton Miami Airport, 5101 Blue Lagoon Drive. Cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. On-site registration will open at 11:30 a.m. with lunch beginning at noon. Online registration is also possible at https://www.fcbf.com.
