Norbert completes purchase of TDG

Norbert completes purchase of TDG    French trucking and logistics company Norbert Dentressangle said it has finalized the acquisition of Laxey Logistics Ltd., the holding company that owns transport and logistics group TDG, based in Manchester, England.
   The 241 million euro ($341 million) acquisition follows European competition authorities' approval of the deal on March 21. Norbert Dentressangle said the deal would help it achieve “critical mass” in the freight forwarding business, which it entered in 2010.
   With the acquisition, Norbert said its 2010 pro forma revenue would be about 3.6 billion euros ($5.07 billion), with 1.95 billion euros ($2.75 billion) from transport, 1.6 billion euros ($2.25 billion) from logistics and 100 million euros ($141 million) from freight forwarding.
