DANZAS ACQUIRES FLORCARGA S.A.

DANZAS ACQUIRES FLORCARGA S.A.    The Danzas Group, a unit of Deutsche Post World Net, has acquired Florcarga S.A. Bogota, a Colombian customs broker and logistics provider.
   Florcarga served as the exclusive agent since 1980 for the former Air Express International Corp., which was acquired by Danzas. The Colombian company specializes in customs brokerage, bonded warehousing and free trade zone activities.
   The combined companies will be known as Danzas S.A. and will operate with a network of seven trading centers with a staff of 300.
   The acquisition marks Danzas' second major acquisition in Latin America this year. The Basel, Switzerland-based company acquired the international logistics business of Chilean company Deca Express S.A. in February. Danzas' Latin American network now comprises 35 company-owned offices and 30 joint venture operations throughout Central and South America.
