STONIER MANAGEMENT FORMS VEXURE, NEW PARENT COMPANY    Stonier Transportation Group Inc., a freight forwarder and transportation management provider based in Jacksonville, Fla, said it has formed Vexure Inc., a new parent company with five operating subsidiaries.
   “We have separated our service offerings and created new brands for each,” said Allen J. Steele, chairman and chief executive officer of Stonier Transportation Group.
   “The same management team that has been leading Stonier is now leading Vexure,” Steele said.
   Within the newly created Vexure, Stonier Transportation Group will continue to provide non-asset-based truckload transportation and freight forwarding to the commercial and pre-print advertising markets.
   TRT Carriers Inc. serves the intermodal transportation market, providing a truck-rail-truck shipping alternative to highway transportation.
   Velocity 3PL provides contract logistics services, including warehousing, consolidation and distribution.
   Alert Cargo Express provides expedited truckload transportation for time-sensitive shipments.
   Stonier Trucking Co. Inc. is an asset-based trucking unit that supports the freight forwarding and contract logistics side of Vexure’s business.
   “While other 3PLs aim to be everything to everyone, we want to excel in a few key service areas to take our customers logistics to the next level,” said Thomas W. Piatak, president and chief operating officer of Stonier Transportation Group.
