DHL adds emissions reporting tools

   In an effort to expand carbon-emissions reporting, DHL Global Forwarding, Freight has launched a new web platform, unveiled a new scanning technology to compare a company’s emissions to industry benchmarks, and adopted a new reporting protocol.
   By using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol “Product Lifecycle Accounting and Reporting Standard,” DHL can expand the number of greenhouse gasses it uses in its data. The web platform, Carbon Dashboard 2.0, give shippers information on emissions at every level of the supply chain, the company said in a release. 
   “We expect that the regulations for carbon reporting will further increase over the next years. Our new GoGreen service portfolio help companies to gain emission transparency, find options for efficiency improvements [and] potential cost savings, and neutralize their emission impact,” Roger Crook, DHL Global Forwarding, Freight’s chief executive officer, said in a statement.
