GEOLOGISTICS NAMES EUROPEAN OVERLAND DIRECTOR

GEOLOGISTICS NAMES EUROPEAN OVERLAND DIRECTOR    GeoLogistics, the non-asset-based logistics provider based in North America, has named Sjaak Poot as director, European overland.
   Poot has nearly 30 years of freight forwarding business, spending the last six years with the Ziegler Group ' the last two years as U.K. commercial manager. Prior to that he held senior positions for overland business with Frans Maas and Schenker.
   In his new position, Poot will report to Steve Finch, chief executive officer of GeoLogistics' EMEA region. He will be responsible for helping realign and direct GeoLogistics' European overland strategy, and will be based at the company's Stanwell (Heathrow) facility.
