Executive Moves: AAPA, UPS and Flagler Global Logistics

AAPA elects Port of Pascaguola director incoming chairman, while UPS appoints chief sustainability officer and Flagler Global Logistics names new president.    Port of Pascagoula Port Director Mark McAndrews was elected as incoming chairman for the American Association of Port Authorities, effective in late October. His term will be one year. In addition to his role as port director, he is chairman of the Gulf Ports Association of the Americas, chairman of AAPA’s Gulf Caucus, and serves on AAPA’s U.S. Legislative Policy Council and Executive Committee. Outside of AAPA, he is a member of the Mississippi Coast Foreign Trade Zone’s Executive Committee and serves on the board of directors of the Mississippi Water Resources Association and Mississippi Intermodal Council.

UPS has named Tamara Barker its new chief sustainability officer and vice president of environmental affairs. She succeeds Rhonda Clark, a 26-year UPS veteran, who has been named vice president of corporate plant engineering at UPS. Barker, a nearly 30-year UPS veteran, has held many roles at the company and was most recently the west region director of plant engineering.

David Bouchard was named president of Miami-based Flagler Global Logistics. He most recently served as CEO of DB Schenker Logistics for the Americas, where he oversaw more than 8,000 employees and helped the company to double-digit growth in revenues, according to Flagler. Prior to joining Schenker, Bouchard spent 22 years with Ryder System.
Flagler, owned by Florida East Coast Industries and its private equity backer Fortress Investment Group, is a rising third-party logistics provider in the South Florida market with expansion plans.
