ITC starts second study of sub-Saharan African exports The U.S. International Trade Commission has started its second of three annual reports analyzing the competitive factors affecting certain exports and imports of sub-Saharan African companies in recent years.
   The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative requested the reports, which will provide brief overviews in sub-Saharan African exports in agricultural, mining and manufacturing.
   In specific, the second annual report will cover the region’s industries that produce coffee, certain spices, shea butter, tropical fruits, natural rubber, footwear, textiles, jewelry, wood furniture, and aviation and communication services.
   The ITC will hold a public hearing related to the research for its second annual sub-Saharan African report at its Washington headquarters on Oct. 23. For more information, contact the ITC Secretary’s office at (202) 205-2000.
